The Hill Top High School annex (later ordered “M block” ) replaced a previous annex building at the same site which been destroyed in an arson attack in 1978. Hill Top High school itself closed in 1992 to be replaced by housing. Menzies then took it under its wing. More modern than the others on site, the single storey block housed a drama studio and was also used for music.
This was the schools Pluto building in many respects located at the far end of the site near Gordon Avenue and near I block and eclipsed by the sports hall. It could be accessed up steps from the main playground.
